Shenzhen Nanping Expressway, China
Shenzhen Nanping Expressway, 44.6km long, on the second layer in north Shenzhen, starts from Western Corridor in Nanshan in the west and reaches Eastern Corridor in Longgang in the east. As another east-west direction expressway in Shenzhen, the project was constructed in three phases. Phase 1 is about 19.05km long and consists of two parts: main line and branch line.
This project was one of the major construction projects of Shenzhen municipal government in 2004 and 2005 and also a key project of Shenzhen municipal government to build a city with "beautiful environment, smooth traffic, and social well-being“. There are 7 interchanges, 2 tunnels (With 8 lanes, Yabao tunnel was once a two-way tunnel with the largest span in China), and 24 bridges along the expressway. The total investment is about 3.5 billion CNY.
